The FwDAI is a not for profit organisation, which is a registered incorporated association and holds a Charitable Collections licence.
According to its constitution, The Fishers with Disabilities Association is managed exclusively by a Board of Management consisting of:
- Chairman (Alison Fleming)
- Vice Chairman (Rae Burrows)
- Secretary (Michael McMullan)
- Treasurer (Gerard Doherty)
- 1 person who is a registered Fishers with Disabilities volunteer, nominated by Fishers with Disabilities volunteers (Ray Benetti); and
- not less than three other persons, and no more than ten other persons, all of whom shall be members of the Association elected to membership of that Board at an Annual General Meeting. (Ross Gould and Nathan Orr)
Monthly meetings are usually held on the 3rd Thursday of each month and an AGM is held each year between July and October.
The board regularly reviews it activities and Strategic Plan to ensure it is meeting the needs of its clients and community members.
