Volunteering
Volunteering with the Fishers with Disabilities association is a fun and rewarding opportunity.
Volunteers usually have a lover for outdoor activity, particulary fishing or boating, but more importantly they enjoy assisting others participate in community activities.

All volunteers must be willing to provide a Police Clearance Certificate and a Working With Children Check. Volunteers wishing to Skipper the “Nev Thomas” must hold a Recreational Skippers Ticket.
An induction program is provided for new volunteers including training in Occupational Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Disability Communication and Awareness. All volunteers are provided with basic first aid training and Skippers of the Nev Thomas are provided with training in Senior First Aid.
On joining the program, volunteers are asked to be able to commit a minimum of one activity per month.
